The Hitchcock Center is eagerly ramping up for this year’s GivingTuesday, the world’s biggest day of charitable giving, and the kickoff event for our end of year fundraising campaign. Join us on November 29, 2022 as we continue to provide opportunities for people of all ages to develop a relationship with nature; lead sustainable engineering and design challenges for youth; teach communication, organization, and leadership skill-building for teens; convene adults for discourse and civic engagement around climate change and sustainability; and continue to broaden our reach to include communities that are disproportionately impacted by climate change.
Instead of simply teaching about climate change, the Hitchcock Center is helping people develop the skills needed to create climate solutions and foster climate resilience by helping them to reconnect to and learn from nature’s efficient and sustainable systems, to develop a problem-solving mindset, and to shape a positive vision for the future. We are developing hopeful, creative problem-solvers who can take on the challenges of climate change.
To support this programming we need to raise $60,000 on this day of giving. Please consider making a donation to help us continue our vision of a world where people, communities, and ecosystems thrive!
Every gift makes a difference.
As a community, we can do more to ensure a future healthy planet. Spread the word and save the date for GivingTuesday on November 29! Follow the Hitchcock Center on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date on this campaign and our latest news and events.
Thank you for your continued support of the Hitchcock Center.

GivingTuesday reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and generosity.
Our global network collaborates year-round to inspire generosity around the world, with a common mission to build a world where generosity is part of everyday life.
Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts, and everyone has something to give.
The Hitchcock Center for the Environment, founded in 1962, is an environmental education organization with a mission to educate and to inspire action for a healthy planet. Our Living Building—the 23rd such certified building in the world—is a powerful teaching tool that meets the most rigorous standards of sustainable building practices. Each year, the Hitchcock Center serves an average of 12,000 program participants and visitors throughout western Massachusetts and beyond.
