About the Hitchcock Center
The Hitchcock Center for the Environment, founded in 1962, is an environmental education organization with a mission to educate and to inspire action for a healthy planet. The Center's Living Certified Building—the 23rd such certified building in the world—is a powerful teaching tool that meets the most rigorous standards of sustainable building practices. Each year, the Hitchcock Center serves an average of 12,000 program participants and visitors throughout western Massachusetts and beyond
